Definition of "assertedly"

Though the suit does not name Mr. Bloomberg as a defendant and claims discrimination that assertedly occurred after he left an active role in the company, it is the latest and most sweeping of a string of discrimination and sexual harassment complaints filed against the firm since the 1990s.
